SC halts mosque survey orders, restricts lower courts in pending cases
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has declined to appear before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) today, citing the summons issued in connection with the Delhi Jal Board case as well as the 9th summons issued in the excise policy case. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has labeled these summons as unlawful, emphasizing Kejriwal's bail status.
The Aam Aadmi Party has asserted that Kejriwal's decision not to heed the ED summons stems from the belief that as he is already on bail, the repeated summons are unjustified. The party has also criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for what they perceive as an attempt to use the ED as a tool for political leverage, especially in the lead-up to elections.
