A plastic godown in Bantala was surrounded and covered by flames on Sunday afternoon, causing a sensation in the area.
The incident, which occurred in the Anandpur police station area, prompted the deployment of 10 fire engines to the scene. Locals collaborated with firefighters in their efforts to extinguish the fire, although the exact extent of damage remains undisclosed. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported thus far.The fire outbreak was attributed to the presence of combustible materials within the godown, which facilitated the rapid spread of flames, engulfing the entire structure. Despite initial attempts by locals to control the fire, their efforts turned ineffective, prompting the intervention of the fire department.
The arrival of 10 fire engines underscored the urgency of the situation, as firefighters worked alongside residents to contain and extinguish the blaze.
