A shooting incident occurred at 7 AM In Baharampur's Jora Shiva Mandir area, where the victim named Sushant Kumar Mondal was shot by his son, Soumen Mandal. Mondal sustained serious injuries and was promptly admitted to Murshidabad Medical College Hospital for treatment.
Reportedly, tension had been brewing in the family due to Soumen's unemployment and daily disturbances, which allegedly led to the shooting.Soumen Mandal, the youngest in the family, remained unemployed, causing daily unrest, eventually culminating in the shooting of his father, Sushant Mondal. The victim lodged a direct complaint against his son, who shot him in the chest.
Currently, Sushant Mondal is undergoing treatment at Murshidabad Medical College Hospital, while the police have initiated an investigation into the incident.
