The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has conducted a raid at the residence of K. Kavita, daughter of Bharat Rashtra Samiti Chief KC Rao, in connection with an alleged liquor scam in Delhi. This action follows the Central Bureau of Investigation's (CBI) summons to Kavita last month, marking the second instance she's been called for questioning regarding the case.
Kavita, a BRS Member of Legislative Council (MLC), had previously been interrogated for nearly nine hours by the ED in the Delhi Excise Policy case. She is alleged to be associated with the South Group, accused of sending bribes worth ₹100 crores to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Additionally, the ED has summoned Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal multiple times concerning irregularities in the Delhi Excise Policy, although Kejriwal is yet to appear before the agency.
