Arjun Singh, amidst ongoing political speculation, expressed gratitude to Mamata Banerjee for acknowledging him as a BJP Member of Parliament. Singh told 'Salute to Mamata didi, she called me a BJP MP and removed any doubt among people and party'.

However, BJP Headquarters indicated that the final decision regarding Arjun Singh's status lies with Amit Shah. While Singh is already a member of the BJP, the party dismissed the notion of his rejoining, stating that it's not applicable as he's already within the party's ranks. Amidst uncertainties, insider sources hinted at Singh's name being confirmed in the third list if omitted from the second list of BJP candidates.
