Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated 10 new Vande Bharat trains and additional train services from Ahmedabad, marking a significant enhancement in India's rail connectivity. With this inauguration, the total count of Vande Bharat Expresses has risen to 50, serving 45 routes across the country. The initiative underscores the Indian Railways' commitment to bolstering transportation infrastructure and fostering inter-state connectivity.
Newly inaugurated Vande Bharat trains and extended services represent a major stride in modernizing India's railway network. Currently, the Indian Railways operates 41 Vande Bharat Express services, facilitating travel across 24 states and 256 districts via electrified Broad Gauge (BG) tracks. Additionally, as part of the inauguration ceremony, artists showcased vibrant dance performances to commemorate the flagging off of the Visakhapatnam-Bhubaneswar Vande Bharat Express at the Visakhapatnam Railway Station, adding a cultural touch to the event.
The expansion of Vande Bharat Express services aligns with the government's vision to enhance connectivity and promote efficient, comfortable, and eco-friendly modes of transportation across the nation.
