CBI has raided the house of Shankar Aadhya in Bangaon in the case of ration distribution corruption. On Monday morning, a large number of central forces and CBI officers along with the forensic team reached Bangaon. CBI has gone to the house of former Bongaon Municipal Corporation Chairman Shankar, arrested in the ration distribution "corruption" case, in connection with the investigation into the attack on ED officials on January 5.
ED had searched Shankar's house on January 5. Shankar was arrested that night and taken in a car. The central agency faced obstacles while taking Shankar. Shankar's followers protested. It is also alleged that bricks were thrown at the ED's vehicle. While the ED had to face the attack in front of Shah Jahan Sheikh's house in Sandeshkhali, it did not in Bangaon.
