Former Chief Minister of Bihar and RJD leader Rabri Devi submitted her nomination for the MLC elections, accompanied by her husband Lalu Prasad Yadav who showed the victory sign. Tejashwi Yadav, another prominent RJD figure, announced that five candidates, including three women, have filed nominations from the Grand Alliance for the upcoming elections.
The RJD had previously disclosed the names of five MLC candidates, including Rabri Devi, Urmila Thakur, Mrs. Shashi Yadav, Abdul Bari Siddiqui, and Faisal Ali. Bihar's Legislative Council elections are underway for 11 seats, with voting scheduled for March 21.
