A massive sea of supporters converged at Kolkata's iconic Brigade Parade Grounds, setting the stage for the Trinamool Congress' (TMC) Lok Sabha campaign launch.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is all set to kick off the TMC's election drive with a grand rally on Sunday at the historic venue. During the Sunday mega rally, TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee is likely to announce the list of 42 party candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

During the rally, prominent TMC leaders took the stage, with Firhad Hakim addressing the crowd. Hakim strongly criticized the BJP, accusing them of spreading rumors and engaging in political theatrics. He also defended himself against CBI charges, stating that the case against him was unjust.

Former Meghalaya Chief Minister Mukul Sangmais also present. Abhishek Banerjee addresed saying, "All the previous records in the brigade are broken as Trinamool filled the brigade in just 12 days.  Many said that Trinamool will be finished. Foreign leaders came here and talked big. BJP has CBI, ED, media and Election Commission but Trinamool has people. The departure of the external party is certain in the near future. This is not Trinamool's brigade but common people's brigade. Center has deliberately withheld MNREGA money, housing scheme has been withheld. The people of Bengal will never forgive. BJP's farewell today begins with the brigade."
