PM launches infra projects worth Rs. 4,500 Cr in Siliguri

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated infrastructure projects totaling over Rs 4,500 crore in North Bengal's Siliguri on Saturday, emphasizing the region's significance as the gateway to the North-East. Among the projects unveiled, PM Modi flagged off the Siliguri-Radhikapur DEMU train service and inaugurated railway line electrification initiatives, promising enhanced connectivity and benefits for residents of North West Bengal and surrounding areas.

In addition to the rail projects, PM Modi also inaugurated two national highway projects worth Rs 3100 crore, underscoring the government's commitment to the overall development of West Bengal. Addressing a public rally in Siliguri, PM Modi reiterated the importance of North Bengal as a strategic region, emphasizing efforts to boost rail connectivity not only within the state but also extending it to neighboring countries like Bangladesh.
