Allu Arjun gets interim bail by high court in Pushpa 2 stampede case
Women followers of Asaram Bapu took to the streets of Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, advocating for the immediate release of the rape convict, citing his purported ailing health condition. Asaram Bapu, who has been serving a life sentence since 2018 at Jodhpur’s Central Jail for raping a minor under the POCSO Act, recently filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking suspension of his sentence due to his medical condition. However, the Apex Court declined to intervene, upholding the verdict of the Rajasthan High Court.
The rally, captured in a viral video on social media, shows women supporters chanting slogans in support of Asaram Bapu's release, sparking both positive and negative reactions online. Despite his conviction in multiple rape cases, including one in 2013 and another in 2023, Asaram Bapu's followers continue to advocate for his release, citing health concerns and readiness for medical treatment while in custody.
