Hazaribagh Bharatiya Janata Party MP and former Union Minister Jayant Sinha has announced his retirement from electoral politics, declaring his decision not to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2024. Sinha, son of former Union Minister Yashwant Sinha, conveyed his retirement through a Twitter post, expressing his desire to shift his focus towards addressing global climate change issues both in India and worldwide.
He stated, "I have requested party national president JP Nadda to relieve me of my direct election duties so that I can focus my efforts on tackling global climate change in India and around the world. Of course, I will continue to work with the party on economic and governance issues."
