Spanish woman visiting India gang-raped and assaulted in Jharkhand

A distressing incident of gang rape and assault has emerged involving a Spanish woman visiting India, occurring in the Hansdiha police station area of Dumka district, Jharkhand. Reports indicate that the woman and her husband were attacked by a group of 7 to 8 youths while camping near Kurmahat, resulting in severe injuries to both victims. The woman was subjected to gang rape while her husband also suffered injuries during the assault. Police have initiated an investigation into the matter following the woman's complaint, with a case registered against the perpetrators.

According to available information, the Spanish couple had ventured out on separate bikes and halted for rest near Kurmahat in the Hansdiha police station area, where they pitched a tent for the night. Tragically, the peaceful evening turned into a nightmare when a group of assailants arrived, brutally attacking the couple and perpetrating the heinous act of gang rape against the woman. Following the ordeal, the victims managed to reach Dumka hospital, where they received medical attention. Authorities have detained three individuals in connection with the incident, who are currently undergoing interrogation as part of the ongoing investigation.
