Prabowo Subianto, Indonesia's newly-elected president and current Defence Minister, claimed victory in the presidential polls as unofficial vote counts indicated a significant lead over his rivals on February 15. The 72-year-old former special forces commander, who had previously contested and lost in two presidential races, addressed jubilant supporters in Jakarta.
