In a tragic incident on the Yamuna Expressway, five individuals lost their lives when a passenger bus, en route from Agra to Noida, collided with a car near Mile Stone 110 in Mathura. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shailesh Pandey reported that the accident occurred as the bus hit a divider, lost control, and collided with the car. The collision resulted in both vehicles catching fire, leading to the charred remains of those in the car, while passengers on the bus managed to escape unharmed.
Eyewitnesses reported a delayed response from the fire brigade, arriving at the scene half an hour after the incident. Efforts are ongoing to extinguish the blaze. Police are currently investigating the matter, and further details are awaited. This tragic event follows a recent incident on the Yamuna Expressway last month when two buses collided, injuring at least 40 people at Mile Stone 110 Raya Cut in Mathura.
