Following disturbances during the removal of encroachments on government land in Banbhulpura, Haldwani District Magistrate Vandana declared the relaxation of curfew in the city, restoring internet services since Saturday night. While curfew restrictions persist within the perimeter of Banbhulpura, encompassing Army Cantt Workshop Line, Tikonia-Teenpani-Gaulapar Bypass, the rest of Haldwani witnesses the resumption of vehicular traffic and commercial activities, offering a sense of relief to residents.
Despite the relaxation of curfew, commercial establishments in areas such as Nainital Road, Rampur Road, and Kaladhungi Road faced challenges due to delayed information dissemination, resulting in widespread closure throughout the day. However, to address the needs of affected individuals, the district administration issued a medical helpline number and ensured the uninterrupted operation of roadways buses and provisions for essential commodities in the affected areas.
