Jai Prakash University (JPU) has been designated by Raj Bhavan as the nodal institution to oversee the joint entrance examination for admission to B.Ed colleges across Bihar. The decision was announced by Vice Chancellor Prof. Pramendra Kumar Vajpayee during a meeting with B.Ed college principals, where several important instructions were issued. The meeting, aimed at streamlining the admission process, also saw the issuance of show cause notices to absent principals, with a request for the appointment of university representatives in all teacher training colleges, a request promptly accepted by the Vice Chancellor.
In another development, a three-member committee has been tasked with implementing a four-year curriculum in teacher training colleges, under the leadership of Registrar Koshang. Comprising principals from various institutions, including Baikunth Teacher Training College, Amlori, Siwan; Shyam Sai Institute of Education, Mairwa, Siwan; and Prateek B.Ed College, Jiradei, Siwan, the committee is mandated to submit its report within fifteen days, focusing on preparations for NAAC accreditation across all colleges.
