Malda follows Tripura’s lead, bans Bangladeshis from hotels amid growing border tensions
In a significant development regarding the Land for Job scam, the Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi has granted interim bail to former Bihar CM Rabri Devi, her daughter Misa Bharti, and Hema Yadav. The court has set the interim bail on a bond of Rs 1 lakh until the next hearing scheduled for February 28. The relief comes after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) filed a charge sheet of 4751 pages in connection with the alleged scam, accusing the Lalu family and two companies.
The ED's investigation involves interrogations of key figures, including Lalu Prasad Yadav for about 10 hours on January 29 and former Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav for 8 hours on January 30. The 14-year-old case, registered by the CBI on May 18, 2022, alleges that individuals were initially recruited as substitutes for Group D posts in Railways and later confirmed in their positions after transferring land.
