In response to the Enforcement Directorate's (ED) complaint regarding Arvind Kejriwal's non-compliance with summons, the Delhi Rouse Avenue Court has summoned the Delhi Chief Minister on February 17. The ED filed the complaint after Kejriwal skipped the fifth summons in connection with the alleged liquor scam probe, specifically related to the Delhi Liquor Excise policy for 2021-22. Kejriwal has missed five previous summons issued by the ED, and the court has now taken cognisance of the complaint, issuing the latest summons.
'Satyamev jayate,' said BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala reacting to the court order. "Kejriwal has become bhagoda no. 1. He said the summons were illegal but now he is exposed as the court has now summoned him," Poonawala said. Kejriwal can challenge the Rouse Avenue court order or appear through a lawyer.
