Mamata calls urgent meeting at Nabanna tomorrow, key administrative officials to attend
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari addressed the challenges faced by politicians, emphasizing that those who perform good work often go unrecognized, while those who engage in wrongdoings escape punishment. Speaking at an event in Mumbai, organized by the Lokmat media group to honor outstanding parliamentarians, Gadkari discussed the deterioration of ideology among politicians, especially those who opportunistically align with the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Gadkari did not explicitly name individuals but expressed concern about the declining number of leaders who steadfastly uphold their ideologies. He stressed that a deterioration in ideology is detrimental to democracy. Gadkari also acknowledged the importance of politicians' contributions to their constituencies, stating that their work for the people holds more significance than mere publicity and popularity. The event saw Lok Sabha member Shashi Tharoor and Rajya Sabha member Sasmit Patra receiving awards for the best parliamentarians of the year.
