Adah Sharma's 'The Kerala Story' set to stream on ZEE5 from February 16

In an announcement that sparked excitement among fans, Adah Sharma revealed that her film, The Kerala Story, directed by Sudipto Sen and produced by Vipul Shah, is gearing up for its OTT release on ZEE5 from February 16. The movie, centered around the narratives of three girls manipulated into religious conversion, promises a gripping storyline divided into two parts, showcasing the repercussions of their decisions. Adah Sharma expressed her enthusiasm on Instagram, urging fans to anticipate the ZEE5 premiere.

The Kerala Story revolves around the lives of Shalini (Adah Sharma), Nimah (Yogita Bihani), and Geetanjali (Siddhi Idnani), influenced by their roommate Asifa (Sonia Balani) to convert to another religion. The film delves into the consequences of their choices, with the first half highlighting the manipulation leading to conversion, while the second half portrays Shalini's transformation into Fatima Ba, a member of a terrorist group, and her imprisonment in Afghanistan. Despite its box office success, the film has not been without controversy, with West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee questioning its portrayal and temporarily banning it in the state.
