Speeding bus mows down pedestrian at MG Road more, driver flee
Renowned political strategist Prashant Kishor has marked 17 months on a remarkable foot march through Bihar, as part of the Jan Suraj Abhiyan. His padyatra recently entered Khagaria district via Begusarai, receiving warm welcomes from the locals who adorned him with flowers along the way.
During this leg of the padyatra, Prashant Kishor covered a 6-kilometer route, starting from the grounds of Avadh Bihari Sanskrit High School in Rahimpur. The enthusiastic reception included a procession with more than 10 horses, a band, and drums, drawing thousands of people from all seven blocks of the district to join the Jan Suraj Padyatra. A notable presence of youth was also witnessed.
The route took Prashant Kishor through significant locations such as Rahimpur Chowk, Baluahi Budhi Gandak Bridge, JNKT Inter School via Benjamin Chowk, Dr. Rajendra Prasad Chowk, Surya Mandir Chowk, and concluded at the market committee grounds of Sanhauli for a night rest.
Kishor commenced the Jan Suraj Padyatra from Bhitiharwa Gandhi Ashram in West Champaran, covering a diverse range of districts including Sheohar, East Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan, Saran, Vaishali, Samastipur, Muzaffarpur, Sitamarhi, Madhubani, Darbhanga, and Begusarai before reaching Khagaria. The upcoming days will see Prashant Kishor continuing his padyatra across all blocks of the district.
