West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee conducted a road show in Chopra while en route to an administrative meeting in Raiganj, North Dinajpur. The road show was part of the Trinamool Congress’s ‘Jonosanjog Yatra,’ and the Chief Minister's visit to the northern part of the state.
On Tuesday morning, CM Mamata Banerjee flew to Raiganj by helicopter from Fulbari Videocon ground near Siliguri. The helicopter landed in Chopra's police station grounds, where she commenced the road show. A large and enthusiastic crowd gathered, lining both sides of the road to catch a glimpse of the Chief Minister. Mamata Banerjee is currently on a five-day district tour in preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, with an administrative meeting scheduled in Raiganj.
In Balurghat, Mamata Banerjee reiterated her firm stance against the implementation of NRC and CAA in the state. Additionally, she targeted the central government once again, expressing concerns over MNREGA funds.
