A team from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has reached the official residence of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren in Delhi to conduct an investigation into a money laundering case related to an alleged land scam. The ED team, present since early Monday morning, has reportedly recovered several "important documents" associated with the alleged land scam case.
Sources reveal that the ED team seized crucial documents related to the case from Hemant Soren's residence. These documents were handed over to other ED officials by one officer in a bag outside the car. The search is ongoing, with the ED team still inside the house, examining the premises. Despite Soren's absence from his house in Shanti Niketan, the ED team has been conducting the search since 7 am.
In response to a fresh summons issued by the ED on January 27, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren made an unplanned visit to Delhi on Saturday night. The ED had requested Soren to join the investigation in the money laundering case and had provided options for questioning on either January 29 (Monday) or January 31 (Wednesday).
