Arun Govil, renowned for his iconic portrayal of Lord Ram in Ramanand Sagar's 'Ramayan,' recently shared insights into the challenges he faced in his career after the beloved television series concluded. Despite becoming a reference point for generations, Arun Govil admitted to encountering setbacks post-'Ramayan,' shedding light on the warnings he received against taking up the revered role.
Arun Govil expressed gratitude for the immense admiration he received from fans across the country due to his portrayal of Lord Ram. Reflecting on the post-'Ramayan' phase, he revealed, "I was a commercial actor before doing Ramayan. I was doing good work. But after starring in Ramayan, I wasn't able to do that work. My friends and family members told me, 'Why are you doing Ramayan? This isn't graded work, you will get caught in this type of work.' But I was like, 'I don't know. But since I have thought about it, let me do it.' I faced a lot of difficulty after that as an actor, but I understood it later when I got a lot of love from the audience."
