A unique and expensive edition of the Ramayana has been presented to the Ram temple in Ayodhya just two days before the ‘pran-pratishtha’ ceremony on January 22. Priced at ₹1.65 lakh, this special edition is hailed as the ‘most beautiful’ Ramayana.
The book, weighing 45 kg, features three boxes designed to resemble the Ram temple’s three floors and is crafted with high-quality materials.
The paper used is from France, the cover is made from imported material, and the ink is sourced from Japan. The wood used for the design is American walnut wood and saffron. According to the bookseller, Manoj Sati, this extraordinary Ramayana can last for over 400 years.
