The seven-day theater drama festival organized by Bihar Art Theater commenced at Kalidas Rangalaya as part of the 108th Anil Kumar Mukherjee Jayanti and the 33rd Patna Theater Festival 2024. The inauguration ceremony, graced by Jitendra Rai, Minister of Art, Culture, and Youth Department, Government of Bihar, saw the traditional lighting of the lamp.
The event took place at Patna's renowned theater venue, Kalidas Rangalaya, in celebration of the 108th birth anniversary of the late Anil Kumar Mukherjee, the festival's founder. Minister Jitendra Rai expressed the government's commitment to supporting artists, paralleling efforts made for athletes, and hinted at upcoming initiatives to provide employment opportunities for artists.
