In commemoration of Youth Day on January 12, the Howrah District Headquarters Trinamool Youth Congress organized a lively procession, spanning from Pilkhana More in Howrah to Belur Math. The event witnessed the active participation of prominent figures, including Minister Arup Roy, MLA Gautam Chaudhary, Nandita Chaudhary, Dr. Rana Chattopadhyay, Sitanath Ghosh, and Howrah District Headquarters Trinamool Youth Congress President Kailash Mishra.
The procession, set to the tune of open cymbals, drums, and a marching band, celebrated Swami Vivekananda's birthday, creating a vibrant spectacle. Simultaneously, in Singur, National Youth Day festivities took place with a colorful procession led by Swami Vivekananda Vidyamandir School. Former Bengal football players, as well as ex-cricketers Madanlal and Manoj Prabhakar, joined the procession, which began in Purushottampur and concluded at Singur market.
