Mercury to drop 3 degrees in Bengal in next 2 days, says MeT
In response to Maharashtra legislative assembly speaker Rahul Narwekar's recent verdict on the Shiv Sena MLA disqualification case, UBT faction MLA Nitin Deshmukh has made an unusual demand for a narco test on the speaker.
Deshmukh, expressing dissatisfaction with the expected outcome of Narwekar's decision, claims that a narco test would unveil alleged conspiracies within the ruling party. In a sarcastic comment, Deshmukh suggests that Narwekar should be appointed as a Supreme Court judge, implying that such a role would be suitable for him.
Deshmukh, despite the unfavorable verdict for his party, asserts that Uddhav Thackeray has already strategized for the future. Additionally, he takes a swipe at Chief Minister Shinde, stating that if any of the 40 MLAs supporting him lose in elections, Shinde should fulfill his promise to go into farming. Deshmukh remains confident that voter support is with Thackeray and believes the ultimate verdict will be in Thackeray's favor.
