Alaska Airlines' Boeing 737 makes emergency landing after window blows out mid-air

In a harrowing incident on Friday evening, an Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 en route from Portland, Oregon, to Ontario, California, was compelled to make an emergency landing in Oregon after a window blew out during the flight.

A passenger aboard the flight managed to capture a startling image of the damage, which revealed a sizable hole in the side of the plane near the passenger seats, providing a glimpse of the city lights of Portland from mid-air.

The airline has not confirmed whether any passengers or crew members were injured during the incident. In response to inquiries, Alaska Airlines released a statement stating, “Alaska Airlines Flight 1282 from Portland, Oregon, to Ontario, California, experienced an incident this evening soon after departure. The aircraft landed safely back at Portland International Airport with 174 guests and 6 crew members.” The statement added that the airline is actively investigating the cause of the problem and pledged to provide further details as they become available.
