The poster, asserting that the temple signifies "the path to mental slavery" while a school represents "the path towards light," prompted strong opposition from JD-U, with BJP leaders joining in, claiming the poster aimed to provoke Hindu sentiments. The controversy comes as Singh, in the past, stirred debate with remarks on Goddess Saraswati.
The JD-U spokesman, Neeraj Kumar, asserted that those speaking against the Hindu religion should not seek support from individuals who practice Hindu rituals. The JD-U condemns any anti-religious sentiments and criticized the MLA's disparaging remarks. Meanwhile, RJD MP Manoj Jha defended the poster, highlighting its focus on Savitri Bhai Phule's observations on education.
