A bomb blast occurred in Bhupati Nagar, East Medinipur, resulting in the injury of one person. The incident is presumed to be an accident during the preparation of the explosive device. Local sources report that the blast took place yesterday afternoon at the residence of Bimal Badui in Ramchak village, near Nander Bazar, where he was allegedly involved in bomb-making activities.
The explosion, believed to be accidental, shocked the entire area, leading to panic among residents. Bimal Badui, identified as an active worker of the BJP party, is said to have been injured in the blast. Despite locals not initially witnessing any injured individuals at the scene, it was later revealed that he is receiving treatment at a private hospital or nursing home in Tamluk.
Following the incident, Bimal's house appears to be vacant, with no current occupants found and the matter is under investigation.
