Mamata calls urgent meeting at Nabanna tomorrow, key administrative officials to attend
Former cabinet minister and senior Samajwadi Party leader, Swami Prasad Maurya, praised the BJP's decision to name Ayodhya airport as Maharishi Valmiki International Airport and urged the party to appoint at least one priest from the Valmiki community in every significant temple across the country. Speaking to the media in Deoria after attending a program to pay tributes to former SP MLC Ram Nagina Yadav, Maurya emphasized that this move would contribute to social justice. He also ridiculed a Member of Parliament's suggestion to send him to a mental hospital, asserting that the BJP could boost social justice by appointing Valmiki community members as priests in temples.
Notably, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav distanced himself from Maurya's remarks on Sanatan Dharma, while the SP initiated efforts to attract Brahmins. The significance of Maurya's endorsement of Maharishi Valmiki International Airport remains amidst the political context. When questioned, Maurya criticized the BJP, attributing the destruction of democracy to the party, and praised the late Ram Nagina Yadav for his contributions to the upliftment of the poor and marginalized.
