In a significant crackdown on the gaming app scam, ED has carried out a raid in New Town, Kolkata, and has recovered lakhs of rupees from a rented house owned by Robin in Kestopur. The operation which took place on Wednesday in the abscence of Robin led to the recovery of 1 crore 85 lakh rupees. The information received from the investigation led to the arrest of two more individuals implicated in complaints related to gaming apps in Jharkhand.
The arrested individuals, identified as Santosh Yadav and Sagar Yadav, both residents of Jharkhand currently living in Kolkata, have been arrested during the ED raid. Sources reveal that Sagar is one of the key figures involved in the Gaming App scandal, while Santosh is reported to be his associate.
Apart from the significant monetary findings, the ED retrieved a mobile phone and an ATM card during the operation.
