Ahead of Lok Sabha elections, the political landscape in WB has heated up. The BJP orchestrated a display of strength, encircling the Asansol Municipal Corporation with hundreds of party workers on Thusday. The protest, resonating with chants of "Jai Shri Ram," served as a battleground for party leaders led by former mayor and BJP stalwart Jitendra Tiwari.
BJP workers attacked TMC, accusing them, and CM Mamata Banerjee, of obstructing their activities under the guise of religious sentiments linked to Lord Ram. Former mayor BJP leader Jitendra Tiwari along with his leaders accused that the people of Shilpanchal of not getting the services of the corporation and said CM has problems with the name Ram.
