Sanjay Singh, an aide to former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, has secured victory in the WFI elections, becoming the new president. The elections, marked by a two-way race between Anita Sheoran and Sanjay Singh, were conducted after multiple postponements earlier in the year.
The outcome of the elections not only signifies a change in leadership but also sets the stage for the possible revocation of WFI's suspension by the United World Wrestling (UWW), which had imposed the suspension due to delayed elections.
