Opposition leaders, including former Prime Ministers Manmohan Singh and HD Deve Gowda, have been extended invitations to attend the grand consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya scheduled for January 22.
Notable invitees from the Congress party include Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, and the party's leader in Lok Sabha, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury.
However, reports suggest that the senior Congress leaders are unlikely to attend the ceremony. Invitations were delivered by a delegation from the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, with more opposition leaders expected to receive invites in the coming days.
