The situation escalated as BJP leaders and workers protested in front of the police station and later engaged in altercations with Trinamool supporters.
Despite the heavy police presence, a dispute emerged between BJP and Trinamool workers during a protest rally. The tension reached a boiling point, prompting BJP leaders, including District President Sukumar Rai and MLA Sushil Burman, to block Pundibari National Highway-17 in protest. The recent clash follows Tuesday's tensions, which led to the temporary custody of the Vikas Bharat Rath by the administration.
