Kolkata metro to be extended till Hooghly's Chuchura? Here's what Railway minister says
Prime Minister Narendra Modi utilized a popular cultural reference, invoking the TV show 'Money Heist,' to criticize the party's purported involvement in financial malfeasance. The critique came in the wake of a series of Income Tax raids conducted on distilleries in Odisha, which resulted in the seizure of approximately ₹350 crore in black money and 3kg of gold ornaments.
The raids, initiated on December 6 and spanning 25 premises in Odisha and Jharkhand, targeted Boudh Distillery Private Limited, a company allegedly linked to Congress Rajya Sabha MP Dheeraj Sahu.

The BJP had previously released the video as a part of its criticism of the Congress Party, especially in light of the ₹353 crore seized by the Income Tax Department during the raids on Boudh Distillery Private Limited.
The raids revealed a significant cache of black money, prompting the Income Tax Department to deposit the seized amount, derived from the counting of currency found in 176 bags, into the Government Treasury. The targeted company, allegedly associated with a Congress MP, adds a political dimension to the raids, intensifying the ongoing discourse on corruption within the Indian political landscape.
