In a significant development, 25 of the 41 trapped workers at Silkyara tunnel in Uttarkashi have been evacuated.
25 trapped workers have been rescued within half-an-hour. The rescue work is expected to finish by 9pm.
A rescue worker has stated that the evacuation process for all 41 trapped individuals is expected to take approximately half an hour.
NDRF teams are orchestrating the extraction, with an estimated timeline of around 30 minutes to ensure the safe rescue of all 41 workers. The worker emphasized that there are currently no obstacles hindering the evacuation process.
Each worker was laid down on a wheeled stretcher that was pulled by rescue workers outside using ropes.
