TMC Booth President lynched to death in South 24 Parganas; Fourth such incident in 10 days

In a disturbing development, Musakali Mollah, the booth president of the ruling Trinamool Congress, was brutally beaten to death in Radhanagar village, located in the Canning sub-division of South 24 Parganas district in West Bengal. The incident occurred on Monday evening as Mollah was en route to inspect the construction progress of a road under the state government's Pathashree Abhijan initiative, following complaints of sub-standard materials being utilized.

The victim, Musakali Mollah, met a tragic fate at the hands of assailants during this inspection, leading to a murder case being registered. Eight individuals have been arrested in connection with the brutal attack.

Sources reveal that Mollah's family has accused local Trinamool leader Bakibur and his associates, believed to be close to Gosaba MLA Shaukat Mollah, of orchestrating the deadly assault.

This incident marks the fourth instance of a panchayat-level leader from Trinamool Congress being killed in the state within the last 10 days. The recent wave of violence includes the shooting death of TMC panchayat member Saifuddin Lashkar in Jaynagar, the bomb attack killing Trinamool's panchayat pradhan Roopchand Mandal in Amdanga, and the shooting death of local party leader Vicky Yadav in Jagdal.
