Thailand announces e-visa for Indians from Jan 1, 60-day exemption to continue
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing the G20 summit virtually, emphasized the global concerns surrounding artificial intelligence, particularly the threats posed by deepfake technology. He reiterated India's commitment to collaborative efforts in establishing international regulations for AI to ensure its safe and responsible use. PM Modi stressed the need for AI to benefit society while avoiding negative consequences.
“The world is worried about the negative effects of AI. India thinks that we have to work together on the global regulations for AI. Understanding how dangerous deepfake is for society and individuals, we need to work forward. We want AI should reach the people, it must be safe for society,” said PM Modi.
During his address, PM Modi expressed India's satisfaction with the release of 50 hostages in Gaza saying,"...We welcome the news of the release of hostages. We hope all the hostages will be released soon...."
India's presidency will continue till November 30.
