Malda follows Tripura’s lead, bans Bangladeshis from hotels amid growing border tensions
In a bid to revive their fortunes after consecutive seventh-place finishes in 2022 and 2023, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have welcomed back Gautam Gambhir, the former captain who led the team to IPL victories in 2012 and 2014. Gambhir, a T20 and ODI World Cup champion, expressed his emotional connection with the franchise, stating, "Today, there is a lump in my throat and fire in my heart as I think about slipping into that purple and gold jersey once again." As KKR's mentor for the upcoming season, Gambhir will play a pivotal role alongside head coach Chandrakant Pandit and the support staff in instilling a never-say-die spirit and sportsmanship in the team.
