The Indian Air Force (IAF) responded to a reported sighting of an Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) near Imphal airport on Sunday.
Officials scrambled two Rafale fighter jets for investigation, with the first aircraft from Hashimara failing to observe any unusual object.
A second Rafale was deployed for a thorough check, but no presence of a UFO or unidentified object was registered during both missions. The Eastern Command of the Indian Air Force said that it has activated its Air Defence response mechanism and further identification efforts underway.
