In the recent cabinet meeting held by Mamata Banerjee, unveiled a series of strategic decisions, shaping the course of administrative affairs in the state. Notably, Jyotipriya Mallik's involvement in a controversy failed to undermine his position, as the decision was made to retain him as a minister, emphasizing the administration's stance on the issue.

Additionally, it was stipulated that the designated minister from North 24 Parganas would shoulder the responsibility of overseeing the organizational tasks in the region, signaling a focused approach to streamline operations and management.

The status quo was maintained in the Forest Department, with the Minister of State for Forests continuing to oversee its operations. Furthermore, a significant step was taken with the establishment of a Group of Ministers dedicated to the conservation of ponds in the state. Shobhandev, Manas Bhuyan, and Pradeep Majumdar were entrusted with the crucial responsibility of managing the revenue aspects related to the conservation efforts, underscoring the government's commitment to environmental preservation.

Amid these developments, ministers were instructed to maintain vigilance over their respective districts and areas during the upcoming festive occasions of Diwali and Kalipuja, aiming to ensure public safety and order.

However, controversy marred the otherwise routine proceedings, as reports surfaced of saffron paint being applied to central buildings, government hospitals, and stadiums. While the move was purportedly linked to the National Health Mission, the Chief Minister raised objections, questioning the lack of consultation with the state government on this matter.
