Kochi Bomb blast claims fourth victim as 62-year-old succumbs to injuries

The death toll in the October 29 bomb blasts at a convention center in Kalamassery, Kochi, reached four, as a 62-year-old woman, Molly Joy Mathew, succumbed to severe burn injuries at a local hospital. The blasts, which occurred during a Jehovah’s Witnesses gathering, have left three others critically injured.

Molly Joy Mathew, a resident of Kalamassery, was among the victims of the Kochi bomb blast, with over 80% burns from the explosion at the Jehovah’s Witnesses convention.Dominic Martin, a 57-year-old former English tutor and the prime suspect in the case, has claimed responsibility for the tragic incident, resulting in his judicial remand since October 31.

Leyona Poulose (55), Kumari Pushpan (53), and KP Libina (12) were identified as the other victims of the blast, with Libina's mother and brother currently in critical condition.The Ernakulam District and Sessions Court is set to review the special investigation team's request for custody of Dominic Martin and conduct a test identification parade.
