Speeding bus mows down pedestrian at MG Road more, driver flee
In a distressing incident, college student Soham Sarkar has filed a formal complaint against a private educational institution in Kolkata, alleging severe ragging and harassment by senior students. The victim, a Computer Science Engineering student at the Heritage Institute of Technology, detailed the traumatic experiences he endured.
On October 11, while returning home, Soham had a confrontation with his senior peers. During his car journey, a group of seniors on a motorcycle intercepted his vehicle, subjecting him to obscene verbal abuse. Despite offering an apology, Soham was forcibly removed from his car and subjected to physical assault, leaving him injured.
After the Puja holiday, the college resumed classes on Monday, but Soham's ordeal continued. On Tuesday, while seated in his car, he was unjustifiably pulled out by senior students who physically assaulted him once more, leaving visible injuries and torn clothing.
In response to these incidents, Soham's family has lodged a complaint at the Anandpur police station, seeking justice for the young college student's suffering.
