A nursing home in Howrah's Baragachia witnessed a disturbing incident as tensions flared over the death of an infant, resulting in vandalism and allegations of staff mistreatment. The incident unfolded when the newborn's mother, the wife of Prosenjit Babu from the Sadarghat area, was handed her baby by a nurse this morning.
To their horror, the child was unresponsive, and the mother raised an alarm. The nurse then reported the infant's death, triggering a tense situation.
The family alleges that the nurse had dropped the baby, leading to its demise. Local police from the Jagatballabpur police station promptly arrived at the scene to investigate the incident.
