Jaldapara National Park elephants explore Alipurduar Village, wildlife officials intervene

In the Madarihat Meghnat Sahanagar area of Alipurduar district, a group of 30 wild elephants has been roaming in a village since Friday morning.

These herds of wild elephants have ventured out from the forests of Jaldapara National Park and have been freely navigating through the village. The presence of these elephants has brought them into close contact with villagers and travelers on the road.

The situation unfolded in broad daylight, with the elephants making their way onto the village road, prompting immediate action from the forest workers of Jaldapara Forest Division. The primary goal is to guide and escort the elephants back to their natural habitat within the forest. Efforts are underway to ensure the safe return of these wild elephants to the Jaldapara National Park.
