In a remarkable display of cultural engagement, West Bengal's recently appointed Governor, Dr. CV Anand Bose, immersed himself in the Durga Puja festivities, a cherished cultural tradition of the state. On Wednesday, amid heightened security, Governor Bose ventured out of the Raj Bhawan Kolkata to take part in the celebration. His first stop was at Kadamtala, where he admired the grand puja pandal, interacted with the organizers, and engaged with visitors.
Following a photo session, he proceeded to the Bagh Bazar Durga Puja pandal, engaging in discussions with the organizers regarding the theme and idol of the pandal. After these visits, he returned to the Raj Bhawan. Notably, Governor Bose had previously taken to the streets to extol the virtues of Durga Puja, urging the people of Bengal to pray for an end to corruption.
Governor CV Anand Bose's participation in the Tritiya evening celebrations further exemplified his enthusiasm for the festival. Around 7 PM, he visited the Disneyland-themed pandal at Shree Bhumi Sporting Club, expressing admiration for the intricate decorations, lighting, and the goddess statue.
